Vladimir Putin has mocked diplomatic efforts to end the Ukraine crisis as Russia threatened to disrupt European gas supplies by cutting off sales to Kiev over its unpaid debts.

The Russian president said through his official spokesman that, despite deep disagreements with the West, he did not want a confrontation over Ukraine to spiral into a “new cold war”.

Nevertheless Dmitry Peskov ridiculed Western demands for direct talks between the Kremlin and the new Kiev government, claiming that the loss of credibility involved “puts a smile on our face”.

The remarks were broadcast during the opening ceremony of the Paralympic Winter Games in Sochi, where the Ukrainian athlete carrying his national flag was given a loud…

Ukraine: the end game

by Jon Rappoport

March 6, 2014

On one level, the struggle over the Ukraine is a deadly US/EU/Russian game of territory, involving governments, intelligence agencies, corporations, and banks.

But at a higher level, as usual, sit the elite Globalist players. And their motives are different. They see every conflict as an opportunity to negotiate the aftermath.

And that negotiation produces a codified structure of cooperation between the enemies that is larger than the previous structure.

For example, there were banks and corporations (Standard Oil, ITT, IBM, etc.) who were aiding both sides in WW2. And in the aftermath, a much larger market for goods (Europe-US) was created.

The US government, in its European rebuilding efforts, made sure of that.

Post WW2, Europe itself started on the road toward creating the current European Union, which is a vast bureaucracy that sits over the entire continent.

Exposed: the Nazi roots of the European Union

by Jon Rappoport

March 3, 2014

Once upon a time, there was an industrial combine in Nazi Germany called IG Farben. It was the largest chemical/pharmaceutical octopus in the world. It owned companies, and it had favorable business agreements with companies from England to Central America to Japan.

As I mentioned in a recent article, the author of The Devil’s Chemists, Josiah DuBois, traveled to Guatemala in the early days of World War 2, and returned with the comment that, as far as he could tell, Guatemala was “a wholly owned subsidiary of Farben.”

The pharmaceutical empire was and is one of the major forces behind the European Union (EU). It is no accident that these drug corporations wield such power. They aren’t only involved in controlling the medical cartel; they are political planners.

This is how and why Big Pharma…

Sleeves up! Here’s why the commandant reversed unpopular uniform policy || By Hope Hodge Seck | Courtesy: MILINET

Marines will again roll their sleeves up like these Marines of 1st Marine Division standing in formation
during a change of command ceremony at Camp Pendleton, Calif. (Lance Cpl. Tyler Reiriz/Marine Corps)

The Marine Corps’ two-year-old “sleeves down” policy ended with an announcement late Tuesday night on the Marines’ official social media platforms. But a spokesman for the commandant, Gen. Jim Amos, said the change has been under consideration for some time.

“The Commandant has been leaning into it for awhile now, as he has taken to heart the many conversations he’s had with thousands of his [noncommissioned officers] in recent months,” Lt. Col. David Nevers said in an email. “After speaking to a theater full of corporals and sergeants yesterday at Quantico, he decided it was time to announce the change.”

The change takes effect March 9 and affects Marines wearing their desert camouflage utilities in noncombat areas. A Marine administrative message, No. 078/14, was published Wednesday formalizing the move. It’s signed by Maj. Gen. Mike Regner, the staff director at Marine Corps headquarters.

46 Senators Voted For U.N. Resolution 2117 CALL FOR WEAPONS COLLECTION and DISARMAMENT

Reclaim Our Republic

February 6, 2014 By Fred Brownbill

Coming from Florida I hope every Floridian gun owner takes notice that the communist scum bag NELSON, the Democrat from our sunshine state, voted readily to have our guns removed. Remember that when he and all the other 45 treasonous, communist enemies of the people and destroyers of the constitution come up for re-election. This is the face of a Floridian communist America.

He needs to GO!. Preferably to lets say, Ummm PRISON?? Anywhere away from any position of power and corruption….My opinion America, Fred Brownbill

The U.N. Resolution 2117 lists 21 points dealing with firearms control, but perhaps of most interest is point number 11: “CALLS FOR MEMBER STATES TO SUPPORT WEAPONS COLLECTION, DISARMAMENT—”

HOORAY – 53-46 vote – The U.S. Senate voted against the U.N. resolution.
This is that brief, glorious moment in history when everyone stands around…reloading.

Now, Which 46 Senators…

Hagel’s Deep Cuts for Military Announced || by William Bigelow

On Monday, Secretary of Defense Chuck Hagel is expected to release his proposal for severe cuts in the nation’s military, which will leave the U.S. Army with its smallest force since World War II. The cuts are expected to include the removal of the entire fleet of Air Force A-10 attack jets, reduce the U.S. Army from 490,000 troops to between 440,000 to 450,000, impose a one-year freeze on the salaries of general and flag officers; limit the increase of basic pay for military personnel to 1 percent, retard the growth of tax-free housing allowances for military personnel, and reduce the $1.4 billion direct subsidy which is given to military commissaries in order to lower the prices for soldiers. Eleven navy cruisers will be sent into reduced operating status. Some military retirees will see an increase in health insurance deductibles and co-pays.

Goodlatte & Forbes Ask DOJ to Appeal Court Decision That Allows Gang Members to Stay in U.S.

Judiciary Committee

Washington, D.C. – House Judiciary Committee Chairman Bob Goodlatte (R-Va.) and Congressman Randy Forbes (R-Va.) today sent a letter to Attorney General Eric Holder asking what the Department of Justice plans to do in light of a recent decision by the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 4th Circuit that could endanger our communities by allowing criminal gang members to receive asylum in the United States or withholding of removal by simply claiming that they have renounced their membership in the gang. In the case of Martinez v. Holder, the court ruled that Julio Martinez, an unlawful immigrant from El Salvador, could stay in the United States because he renounced his membership in the notoriously deadly MS-13 gang and returning to El Salvador could jeopardize his safety.  This decision encourages fraud and creates a new loophole where gang members can simply claim that they are no longer a member of a gang in order to game the immigration system.  This undermines the federal government’s ability to enforce our immigration laws and promote public safety.

Below are excerpts of the letter. To view the full letter, click here.

“We are concerned that based on this decision [by the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 4th Circuit], gang members will be able to receive asylum or withholding in the U.S., simply by telling immigration authorities that they have renounced their membership in the gang. In the Martinez case, an MS-13 gang member did just that.  Surely it is likely that when gang members are placed in removal proceedings, they will claim that they are no longer a member of a gang and have renounced gang membership in an attempt to circumvent removal.  Even aliens who have in fact left gangs were members of criminal organizations and do not deserve the protections of asylum or withholding.

“We are deeply troubled by this decision as it interferes with the Federal Government’s ability to effectively enforce our immigration laws.  Decisions such as this are serious impediments to both the Department of Justice’s (DOJ) and the Department of Homeland Security’s (DHS) ability to promote public safety through the removal of deportable aliens who may be involved with organized criminal activity.

“It is no secret that criminal gangs are a continuing national problem … Current and former gang members should not be shielded by our asylum or withholding system.  Indeed, the Committee has already marked up legislation, HR. 2278 – the SAFE Act, which clarifies that anyone who is or has been a member of a gang may not receive asylum or withholding on any grounds … While the Committee has done its part, we would like to know what DOJ plans to do to address this problem.”
