Life under the Obama Doctrine || by Caroline Glick

Obama-Aquino-300x199

For most commentators, President Barack Obama’s biggest achievement in his four-nation tour of Asia was the enhanced defense treaty he signed with Philippine President Benigno Aquino. The pact permits US forces to operate on Philippine military bases and sets the conditions for joint training of US and Philippine forces, among other things.

There are two problems with the treaty, however.

And they reflect the basic problem with US foreign policy generally, five-and-a-half years into the Obama presidency.

Navy losing sailors and SEALs over emphasis on social issues || by Allen West

Hate to say “I told you so” but President Obama’s disinterest in enhancing our combat capability in favor of social egalitarianism and a warped sense of social justice is indeed having an impact on war readiness.

According to the Washington Times, “A Navy F-18 fighter pilot and former Top Gun instructor is publicly warning admirals that retention is beginning to suffer from the military’s relentless social conditioning programs. Cmdr. Guy Snodgrass said sailors are becoming fed-up with the constant emphasis on social issues — an apparent reference to gays in the military, women in combat and ending sexual harassment.”

Commentary by Jeffrey Hardin
Why would anyone want to join, or especially reenlist in any branch of our armed forces, when they instead of feeling enthusiasm, confidence, or loyalty towards their service and sacrifices for their country and fellow American’s, are made to feel ostracized?!~
And that’s exactly how the Heterosexuals and Christians, male and female are being treated in today’s Armed Services, they are being pacifically targeted.
The House and Senate were warned that this was going to be a morale and enlistment killer, what possibly made them believe it wouldn’t be, or did it really matter to them that it would be?
This was purposefully done to filter out those who would be more honorable, moral, principled and dedicated to their fellow Americans.
Obama is surely getting the dedicated Tin Army that he promised, and, that he wanted, but at what cost to our security?

Exclusive: World’s most pristine waters are polluted by US Navy human waste || by Cahal Milmo

US Navy vessels have been discharging waste water, including treated sewage, into the clear lagoon.

The American military has poured hundreds of tonnes of human sewage and waste water into a protected coral lagoon on the British-owned base of Diego Garcia over three decades in breach of environmental rules, The Independent can reveal.

The Indian Ocean base on the Chagos Islands has been one of the world’s most isolated and controversial military installations since Britain forcibly removed hundreds of islanders in the early 1970s, abandoning them to destitution, to make way for US forces including nuclear submarines and bombers.

The British Government has repeatedly underlined its commitment to maintaining the pristine environment of the islands, which are known as the British Indian Ocean Territory (BIOT) and were four years ago declared the world’s largest marine reserve.

Despite these undertakings, it has emerged that US Navy vessels have been discharging waste water, including treated sewage, into the clear lagoon ever since a naval support station was established on Diego Garcia in the early 1980s.

Whitewashing Benghazi || By Jed Babbin & R. Emmett Tyrrell, Jr.

Were he alive today, Richard Nixon would have to doff his hat to Barack Obama. Compared with how the Obama administration has swept under the rug the Benghazi attacks of September 11, 2012, Nixon’s attempt to cover up the Watergate burglary was rank amateurism. To be fair, Nixon’s team of Haldeman, Ehrlichman, Mitchell, and Dean were not in the same league as Obama’s, which includes not only his cabinet but most of the national media and much of Congress.

If a president were intent on covering something up—something big, such as an illegal gun walking operation to Mexico or a dereliction of duty that gets Americans killed at a diplomatic outpost in the Middle East—he would have to operate on as grand a scale as Obama has.
