BREAKING: NJ Legislature Reaches Back Room Deal to Limit Magazine Capacity to 10 Rounds || by Dan Cannon

ImageNJ.com is reporting that they have two inside sources who are saying that a back room deal has been struck among legislatures in both houses of New Jersey’s legislature.

The move would allow a bill that would restrict magazine capacity to 10 rounds to pass the full state legislature.

In “exchange” a bill will also be passed that allows people traveling through New Jersey to make short stops while transporting firearms in their vehicles without fear of arrest. It should be noted that most states allow firearms to be transported in vehicles with little to no restrictions already.

According to NJ.com, State Senate President Sweeney held up a similar bill last year in the Senate, but is now changing his stance,

The manufacturers of the popular AR-15 rifle have made some slight cosmetic changes that have made the gun legal in New York state. The actual firing power of the gun has not changed, but the gun no longer includes a pistol grip and now resembles “an odd paintball gun.” The modified gun also lacks a bayonet lug.
