What a down hill battle this will be, especially with Senators like Rand Paul believe the president has a right to his  picks, and must be given some leeway,  just as he put it after his confirmation of Hagel!

It is no wonder we are not seeing anything done by our elected officials and why should we, we keep on reelecting them, just as the brainless Texans did John Cronyn yesterday!  We belly ache about these corrupted officials and then we reelect them, whose damn fault is that?!

We cannot fix Washington when we too are just as badly broken as voters and citizens of this great nation! When in the name of YHVH god are we ever going to get that!

Rand Paul on his confirming Secretary of Defense Chuck Hagel;

On final passage though I take the position that the president does have some leeway and some prerogative in who he appoints to political appointees.
